About

An accountancy practice that explains its work

Linx Accounting prepares the returns, accounts and payroll that individuals and small companies have to file, and makes sure the people it works for understand what has been filed and why.

What the practice is

Linx Accounting is the trading name of Linx Accounting Services Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (number 11742116). It is the firm’s general practice: Self Assessment, Corporation Tax, statutory accounts, bookkeeping, payroll, VAT and the planning that goes with them.

The same company runs two specialist practices. Linx Tax Defence deals with HMRC compliance checks, investigations and disclosures, and Linx Automate builds automation for finance and business operations. A client of one has the others to call on, without starting again with a new firm.

The principal

Abu Bakar Khalid FCCA, CFA

Abu Bakar Khalid founded the practice and holds the ACCA practising certificate it works under. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a CFA charterholder.

Before practice, his work was in finance roles inside UK groups: financial control, consolidation and statutory reporting, for businesses in property investment, infrastructure and food distribution, some with subsidiaries overseas. That meant VAT and Corporation Tax compliance across many companies, and taking accounts through external audit. It is the background the practice’s compliance work is built on.

How we work

Agreed in writing

Every engagement starts with a letter that sets out the work, what we need from you and the fee.

Online by default

Records are shared digitally and returns filed electronically, so it does not matter where in the UK you are.

Explained, not just filed

You see what is being filed before it goes, with the figures that matter and the dates that follow from them.

Talk to us about what you need

Tell us what you have to do and by when. We will explain what is involved and send you a fixed-fee quote, agreed in writing before any work starts.
